This album is the only known recording of a front-line unit made where the war took place. This album contains 10 popular Big Band songs of the period, a 28-minute oral history by lead trumpet player, Richard Burt, and 9 minutes of film of the band in the Philippines that was converted to digital format from 8mm film. Digital sales of the album were contracted with the USO at 25%; however, the album is now free and all donations for the music will go to the USO because of the number of veterans being sent to Europe with the Russian Ukraine War.
